Welcome to the home page of Pace Driving School, the driving school that covers Kendal, Lancaster, Morecambe and Kirkby Stephen areas. The driving school that offers high quality lessons, at reasonable prices, using only Grade A, female and male, DVSA Approved Driving Instructors. Please be aware we do not do automatic lessons. Pick up and drop off at home, school, college, work or any other pre agreed places.

Notice April 2021

Dear students, just an update to say we are pleased to announce that lessons will be allowed to resume from the 12th April 2021. Please find below details of our new lesson structure for Area 1, which we believe will help reduce waiting times for lessons.

For intensive courses, the lessons must be taken as a minimum of 3 hours duration per session. The intensive courses are designed to help reduce waiting times for you the student by reducing the number of hours of tuition required for you to achieve test standard.

Please note all intensive course lessons will require a deposit upon dates being agreed with your instructor in order to obtain commitment to the course. The balance is then payable 14 days prior to the course commencement.

All intensive course lessons of 3 hours or more are only available between 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.

If you wish to block book lessons, these are only available as pre paid pre booked lessons, based on the intensive course lesson prices for your area. A minimum of 12 hours can be purchased. These can only be used for 3 hour to 6 hour sessions. Block Bookings will be treated to the same terms and conditions as the intensive courses.

If you prefer to take your time, or wish to pay as you go, standard hourly rate will apply for lessons of 2 or 3 hour durations.

Notice February 2021

Dear students, just an update to say we are experiencing a very high volume of requests for lessons from both existing and new customers. As Government restrictions currently do not allow us to deliver lessons, and with no date yet as to when we can resume them, there is already a huge backlog of pupils to reschedule. We want to assure you that we will do everything we can to do this, but we will need to ask for you to be patient and flexible as we aim to clear the backlog as soon as we possibly can.

Unfortunately for some, there are students which have had their tests suspended for each of the three lockdowns dating back to March 2020 and it is only fair we prioritise these pupils as they have been waiting the longest.

You instructor will contact you as soon as they are able to offer you a date and time to resume lessons.
