 Terms & Conditions

A valid provisional or international driving licence must be shown before the first lesson commences.

Pupils are required to inform the instructor if they have any disability which may affect their ability to drive. They should also inform the instructor to any changes in their health which could affect their ability to drive.

Pupils must also prove that they can read a standard number plate at a distance of 20.5 metres (67 feet). If glasses or contact lenses are required to read said number plate, these must be worn whenever driving.

For standard lessons of 2 or 3 hour duration, a notice of cancellation must be given 48 hours before lesson start time. The period of notice does not include Sundays or public holidays. Failure to give notice will result in the forfeit of the lesson fee. Where a lesson cancellation fee is incurred, this is payable within 48 hours of the lesson cancelled. This is payable by bank transfer.  Failure to do this may result in future lessons being withheld.

Any standard lesson bookings of 4 hours or more per week will be subject to the intensive course terms and conditions listed below.

For any pre paid hours, where lessons have not been booked into the instructors diary, these are subject to a 3 month time span from payment date. Any unused hours after this time are non refundable. Also any hours which are remaining after a successful test has been taken, which has been booked prior to any hours remaining being used, are also non refundable.

If, in the instructors professional opinion, the pupil is below the test standard the instructor has the right to withdraw the use of their car for the driving test. The pupil will be given notice of this before the test cancellation date.

Payment for tuition should be made to the instructor either prior to start of the lesson by bank transfer or by cash at the start of each lesson.

Your driving instructor can not be held liable for any losses resulting in lesson cancellations or driving test cancellation due to circumstances beyond their control. e.g. adverse weather conditions, examiner illness, examiner strikes, instructor illness or mechanical failure of the tuition vehicle.

The pupil must declare that he/she is not precluded from driving by any court judgement.

The pupil must inform the instructor at any time if they are convicted of any motoring offences which has points added to their licence.

Intensive Courses Terms and Conditions

For intensive courses upon course dates and times agreed, a deposit of 25% of the complete course fee will be required to confirm booking. This will be required within 24 hours of taking the initial booking. If payment is not received within this time the agreed dates will be released and made available to subsequent pupils requesting course availability. If you cancel in writing up to 14 days after paying your deposit, your deposit will be refunded by us within 30 days of cancellation. The deposit is non-refundable after 14 days from the date of receiving the deposit for your course. The balance of the course fee is due 14 days prior to the date of the first lesson unless you cancel in writing beforehand. Failure to pay balance by due date may result in the previously agreed dates being released for other students.

Once a deposit has been received, the pupil has a period of 3 months to complete the course from the agreed start date of the course. At this point all pre paid hours will be booked into your instructors diary. If for any reason there are unused hours from prepaid lessons, these are non refundable.

All intensive courses are to be held Monday to Friday, between 9am and 5pm.

When taking an intensive driving course it is not normally possible to drive continuously, therefore, short breaks can be arranged between the pupil and the instructor at both parties discretion, whenever either feel the rest is required.

The total time booked for an intensive course includes break times, the use of the car for the practical test and the time to drive the pupil back home or agreed meeting point at the end of the test.

All intensive courses are booked and based on average learning capabilities from past client experience and are a rough guide only. No guaranties can be implied by any instructor. Pupils should be prepared for any extra tuition if it is felt that it is required before the pupil is allowed to safely attend the driving test.
